JOHN’S BIO: John A. Olson is the co-owner of Olson Tree Company. Mr. Olson has been in the tree business for over eleven years. He has participated in all aspects of tree work including pruning, topping, removal, danger tree work, right-of-way clearing and right-of-way re-clearing, mowing, grinding, spraying, and thinning. He has participated in fuels reduction and wildlife habitat improvement projects. He has vast experience in recognizing tree species, insect’s damage and disease damage as a result of working in the field along side his fellow employees. He is an accomplished operator and will provide support as necessary for all company associates throughout the term of each and every contract. He is married to the former Jan Rowe of North Carolina. John and Jan have five outstanding children who have brought an enormous amount of joy into their lives. Their oldest daughter, Alex began college in the fall of 2006 as a freshman, majoring in film and theatre arts. Their family attends New Life Church of Colorado Springs. She maintains an active role in the company by overseeing the sales and marketing staff as well as customer service personnel. Jan also travels cross country to check on company crews and to meet with clients. She was first runner-up in the Mrs. North Carolina Pageant of 1985. In addition to her busy schedule, Jan cherishes her role as wife and mother in the Olson household. She also home schools their five children.
